tried running tomb raider 2 (1 and 3 work fine) and the setup for if but nothing will load. it shows on task manager but no matter how long i wait nothing pops up.

any help with this is much appreciated.

Pro Pinball: Timeshock (Windows version) did this with me, though the DOS version worked fine, if a little laggy at times. I don't actually know what is wrong but I thought it was incompatible with my OS.

in your case, this idea doesn't work as I have Tomb Raider 2 running a little clumsily on Windows 10, a little similar to how it ran on 8.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro x64 and having the same issue as the OP. I've set compatibility/run as admin, etc. Tomb Raider 3 runs perfectly fine.

I tried installing the multipatch, but it has a disc check, so it only works with the physical version.

Edit: Just saw the other thread about this where someone mentioned extracting the update files to the desktop and moving them into the install folder instead of installing them normally and it works for me now. The forum won't let me post a link to it, but the title is "A note about TR2 on Windows 10"

I have the same problem! One month ago, I played a lot of tomb raider level editor games but then suddenly no one ever worked again. I suspect a virus, I already did a scan, but no one was found (but I have heard that if you really alredy have a virus, there is no point in finding it. the only solution would be to set up the operating system new).

So i thought that the "normal" games would work, so I bought tomb raider 1+2+3 from GOG, but no one starts! My laptop starts heating, like if i was running the game, but it won't show up in the task manager or react to any clicking on it! no matter if I cick on it on the desktop, in gog or in the folder or the setup.

please help me :'(

Once you've done that, you'll probably want to use the "Setup" icon in the game folder in your Start menu (or edit your desktop icon and add " setup" to the Target) and configure your settings, particularly graphics settings.
