I was to bought Tomb Raider and before I do it I was wondering if it was optimized for windows 7? It is like playing from the original game disc or better?

Which tomb raider?
They have 1 2 3 4 5 now.

1/2/3 work fine on Win7 64 Ultimate (what I am running them on).

I havent bought 4/5 yet though, so dont know how they play.

All of our Tomb Raider games have been tested on the three major flavors of Windows (XP, Vista, and 7) and work quite well on all of them. If for some odd reason they don't work for you, please don't hesitate to contact our Support department and we'll do our best to help you out :D
