I am thinking about getting the remaster. But I wanted to know the status of the Pierre Jacket and if the posters on the Laura Cruz have been re-added.

Also, is there any other censorship going on in the game?

I already have a mod lined up to get rid of the woke Crystal Dynamics message.

the posters were re-added. The jacket still has the bikini and it will stay that way, since the game is rated teen (13+). The message only showed up once as far as i know...

I just refunded the Steam version.
The condescending Crystal Dynamics message is still there on startup.
The worst part though is the 40 page EULA you need to agree to. Based on reviews here on GOG, same thing happens in this version.

Ridiculous that a 1996 game gets rereleased with a EULA.

It had one before, you just skipped over it in the installer because you were a horndog teenager. One part limited warranty, one part documentation.

Think its more that they got away with it back then, because... who is gonna recognize low poly pixels :P
So it was a sneaky cheeky way of getting away wtih it in PS1. But when it got remastered... eh not so much luck is all.

And if you wonder about why health bars are green. Thats due to Geneva Conventions rulings or something.. basically red cross is seen as emergency situation, so having that being represented in entertainment is apparently illegal.

So some of the censorships i dont think is a deal breaker to me. I have quit Steam all together. Mostly because i am opposed to DRM gaming.
So since GOG garantees ownership of things i buy. Then i am more than happy to support GOG website
