I have the original game up here on the shelf, but it will not Install / play on this rif, so got the Anniversary edition. I got to Egypt when I originally started playing it. Got to the Minoan Labyrinth and ran around in there until the Monsters started respawning as did the chests. Finally used the portal and got out of there and went to the boat, but no one was there. Thay have changed that Maze since the original release and this one is nearly impossible to get around in and no inset map either. I think I pretty much cleared out that place, so thought someone would be at the boat. I have leveled up twice running around in there. I'm thinking there must be a bug and I can't get to Egypt, and I am done with that place.

Actually the MinoLab layout hasn't changed at all, they just redid the walls for some peculiar reason which makes it look worse. There is a mini map as usual, you just need to switch it on by clicking on to the top right icon on the screen.

I don't know what you're playing, but monsters don't respawn in the game unless you exit back to the main menu. And there is no portal in the MinoLab. You must kill the Minotaur in his chamber and then the Telkine in his before you can exit and get to the boat which should then take you to Egypt.

I would try verifying your game files. If you have GOG Galaxy installed then go to the game in your library, click on More and then go down to Manage Installation and then choose Verify/Repair game files.
