GOG download version 2023110701 today.
At the beginning you are chasing the papyrus (initial chase). When the sailor holds Tintin there is a "fatal error".
i56600, gtx1060 6GB, Windows 10
i713700f, rtx4060ti 16GB, Windows 11
So the game is unplayable at the moment (25.11.2023).
Patch (microids.com for ps5: 1.004 - 24.11.2023) seems to be still missing.
Waiting ....... :-(
P.S.: I will not starting bashing, but I am not amused.

Edit:
Now on December the 1st: download version 2023112801 -> Still the same
I don't wait any longer and asked for a refund

Same here... exact same crash on the exact same scene.
Why is there a post about a patch if we can't download that patch in GOG?
I am going to ask for a refund in a few days before the 30 day period is over unless this gets fixed.

It seams that the problem affects only the offline version in my case.
As soon as I installed gog galaxy and imported the game folder the crash no longer occurred.

I have the offline installer Cigars_2023112801_GOG installed. Ran GOG Galaxy as suggested by previous post and it download a 10.21 GB update.

Which means the offline installer available is not the latest version! So what is the point of having offline installers which is the main reason I use GOG.

Anyway the update did not fix the problem.

Whether a full download would fix it, who knows. I no longer care. I'm getting a rerfund.

Dagnabbit! Left it too late for a refund.

Tried to install from scratch using gog galaxy. (OMG what a pile of rubbish).

Still fails at exactly the same point.

According to gogdb.org there is a new build: Cigars_2023121901_GOG but it can only be downloaded via GOG Galaxy at the moment.

Alas, it still crashes at the same point.

Sigh!

How about a last ditch effort? You could try installing the Microsoft Visual c++
I remember that when I played another game I had similar problems with it was fixed after installing them runtimes.

Updated to latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86 & x64) - 14.38.33135.

Unfortunately, for my system it made no difference.

Crashes too. Really don't need to give the config information, because this fatal error occured on every system.
