Just reported the bug below, using GOG support:
The game allows the player to choose between four clans, but all clans feature the same portraits for the various samurai in their troupe.
Owning both the GOG version of the game, as well as an old original boxed copy, I know this was a known bug with the boxed version, that got resolved with a later patch. Somehow this bug patch does not seem to have made it with the release of the GOG version.
If possible, please fix the portraits for the GOG version.
I also noticed the character sprites seem to be mirrored, as they hold their main sword in their left hand, instead of their right hand. I can't remember though, whether this was originally so for the boxed copy too, but it looks odd for a game with a Japanese setting.
