In another thread, I talked about my problems installing Thief: Gold. I've developed a sort of half-baked workaround by piecing the files for T:G over the top of my old TDP install. However ,I can't seem to get the game to load the Thief: Gold exclusive missions in the order it's supposed to. Is there some config file I've missed or something?.

this is not exactly recommended (in fact, it's not recommended at all), but if you insist, one of the cfgs should contain the mission order info.

Yes, there is the text file "USER.CFG". The content of this file on my installation is:

mission_map 1,2,3,4,5,15,6,7,16,9,17,10,11,12,13,14,18
skip_starting_checks

I believe the second line was added by voodo47's TGfix compilation.

That still won't make it load number 15... it just jumps to The Sword...

if you have problems installing, try to install the game on a different pc, copy over the installed game, and use TGfix (makes the game portable, so it doesn't matter what kind of filepaths were in the original install)?

I will ask around my dorm, but I don't know anyone really willing to let me install a random 13-year-old game on their computers...
