Each time I attempt to finish the tutorial, by exiting the last door, Thief 3 freezes. Has anyone encountered this problem?

For your information, I have a core i7 Windows 7 64bit laptop.

Are you using the T3FovPatch? I am using this patch and had the game freeze-crashing at the end of the tutorial, too. The game also crashed when I tried to load a save game. The only thing that worked for me so far was disabling Fov and using one of the native resolutions. I chose 1600x1200 for my 1920x1080 screen, and the distortion looks ok-ish. A few minutes ingame, and my eyes adjust to it.

Have you tried using the Sneaky Upgrade patch instead? This fixes the FOV in a different way so might work better for you (plus it fixes various other issues too).

I already found it, browsing through the Thief threads here. It's working great, though I had to re-install the game first because it seemed to conflict with the changes the FovPatch made. But thank you for the hint.
