On one of the earlier levels when I was doing particularly badly I got the 'your handymen have failed to maintain your machinery well' negative award at the end of the year. Since then I have got it every single year. I thought 'surely I can't be THAT bad at this game' so I tried starting a level without placing any machinery and then at the end of the year I still got the negative award.

Has anyone had any experience with this potential bug? Or do they know of any way I could try to fix it?

I always get that, too, and I keep the machines in good condition.
