It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So yesterday I (perhaps foolishly) upgraded from Windows 7 64bit home edition to Windows 10 64 bit edition.

Since then I can't launch the Witcher 3.

I click on the play button in the GOG client and after a few seconds a black screen comes up as if it's about to load. The cursor turns into a blue loading circle and it sits like that for a few seconds then goes off and puts me back on my desktop. Doesn't seem to cause any slowdown it's a very soft crash but it won't launch at all.

Things I've tried:

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft 2012 redistributable thingy direct fro the Microsoft Website.

Tinkering with and turning off my anti virus

Extensive swearing at my monitor (this didn't work but made me feel better)

Verifying the game via the GOG client (updated 1 file, didn't change anything though)

Anyone got any ideas? I've read around the forums but most posts seem to about the things I've tried.

Thanks for any help you can give.

System specs in case they're of any use

Intel i5 4690K
Asus Geforce 970
8GB Corsair RAM
Windows 10 64 Bit Home edition
1TB hard drive.

Oh and Overwatch crashes if I try to alt tab it. While that isn't a question for here I mention it in case it's related.

You haven't deleted game and installed again as it may or may not fix?If it still no work then problem I would consider is win 10 and that I can't help with.
Do as A.I.Person. said and deinstall and install Witcher 3 again.
