So my friend s face dropped when I told him I hadn't played this game yet. So he went out and bought it for me. Only problem was my computer no longer had a DVD drive and the game comes on 6 discs!!

So after getting a USB DVD writer I installed the game. Now that the game is installed, and GOG has attached this game to my account, do I still need the discs if I ever want to reinstall the game or can I throw them out?

Check your account at gog.com (NOT in Galaxy). If you see The Witcher 3 in your web account, which you should, you no longer need the discs, provided you have internet access, since you can always download the latest installers.

I also checked my email and i was emailed a receipt so I think those two things confirm it.
