now i know why the witcher is updating so long....

the 38GB update - it's downloading itself and when it comes to end, there is "UPDATE FAILED" and it downloads itself all over again.

anybody know what that means and how to fix it?

I can not get the Witcher 3 to work AT ALL on GOG.

I've tried everything. The c++ I already had on my laptop. I've un and reinstalled the game more than once. It use to work just fone before an update of Wingows 10 but ever since it just... stopped. Won't open and before I bought the game on GOG it kept giving me a "Bad Image" popup... WHAT. IS. GOING. ON? Huge Witcher withdraw

Windows 10 (and possibly Galaxy, if you're using it) is going on. It is not The Witcher 3 at fault. You said it yourself that it worked fine before a Windows 10 update. The game was originally shipped with a caveat warning about Windows 10 updates making the game incompatible. Blame Microsoft.

Yes, agree, I have had significant issues running multiple games via both GOG and Steam since updating to the W10 creators edition. All games ran perfectly previous to the update. W3, XCOM 2, Starbound are all fudged. I love the way that xbox d-head (Phil whatever) goes on a rant about MS love for the PC gaming community every 3 months and they consistently follow up with absolutely nothing.

I have a problem with the witcher 3 first update after the installation.
The error code is E6 (It said : I dont have a valid copy of this game.)
I really dont understood why, because I bought the collector's edetion 5 years ago.
I installed it with the 4 disc and after that the GOG cannot update the game.
Could somebody tell me what kind of problem cause this fail ?

Upgrade: After I reinstalled GOG too a pop up window came up and sent me a link with the manual solution for this upgrade. It seems ok now. (Sorry for bothering.)
