Was a bit surprised that the GOG Galaxy Overlay is now a DLC...so I was wondering: What can it do? Information is a bit hard to come by.

Can it make screenshots? Is it mandatory for GOG Galaxy to be able to track my gametime?

Well, Nvidia said that "Ansel" (a tool to do ingame pictures, free camera, post process options, and more) would come to a few games, including W3 "soon".
Maybe this has finally arrived.

Because, there is no mentioning of Galaxy at the download page ...
Hopes are high!

EDIT: does not show up on my account page as download for W3. Puzzled...

It's only listed as DLC in GOG Galaxy. Sorry for the confusion. Shouldn't have mentioned it as DLC, since CDPR probably just put it there for convenience, nothing more to it I guess.


The central question remains: What can it do? I'd like a screenshot feature. Otherwise I'll continue using the Steam overlay...

That would be GOG, but yeah, you're right, it's not a DLC but an optional installation for Galaxy.

To answer your question of what can it do, at this stage only achievements on a few games from what I understand -- I don't use Galaxy.
