Hi,

The other day I bought the expansion pass and downloaded and installed both Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine. Having already completed the original Witcher 3 story, I go to the menu and select new game and then choose the pre-made character for Heart of Stone but when the game starts, I am apparently on the first mission of Blood and Wine. What am I doing wrong? I thought Heart of Stone should be played first?

Thanks!

Depends on your character level but it really is of no consequence which way you choose.
Well the point is, I started Heart and Stone but I end up playing Blood and Wine?
Do you still have saves from your base game playthrough? You could then just load the last one and start HoS directly in-game, as the new quest should automatically appear in journal.

When you start a new game in one of the expansions, you get access to both if you have both installed. Go to your quest log and you will see 'Envoys, Wineboys' and 'Evil's Soft First Touches'. Choose Envoys, Wineboys if you want Blood and Wine, or Evil's Soft First Touches if you want Hearts of Stone. The only difference in choosing one over the other at the main menu is your level and starting gear.

Thank you Hickory. I derped there. Didn't realise all I had to do was select the right quest.

Cheers!
