I'm having Issues about the game freezing. Its just ridiculous. The game stops, basically. If any dialogue, the game will keep it talking, as any other sound, but after the game unfreeze (about 5/10 seconds after), it keep the image from where it was.
This is about to drive me insane, because I got the game and can't even play it. There's a way to fix it? I'm running it on a GTX 960, 8GB RAM and Intel i5 4440.

There are numerous threads about this. But I'll help.

Try turinng off VSync from within the game and go to unlimited FPS. If using borders go fullscreen. Try changing the setting in NVIDIA 3D to "best performance". While this hasn't fixed everyone's problems it ahs fixed it for many including myself. I had freezes every 10-15 moniutes but since these changes it's been 4.5 hours without a single one.

I had the same issue and what fixed it for me was turning off vsync and changing frame limit to unlimited. hope this helps

I have gigabyte 980 with OC GURU installed and as well had this problem.
Turning off OCGURU and changing clock speeds to default fixed it for me, 10+h no crash yesterday.
So make sure you don't have any third party OC or monitoring program on

Before that i tried set fps to unlimited, play in borderless window or turning Vsync off and nothing of that helped, eventually i could play that hour longer but after a while it was still the same.

Have the same thing as you, but none of the help offered by this or many other webpages have helped one iota...

Not even 1.03 patch solved this just improved playtime from five to ten minutes into 15 minutes - which is a record...

I've had the same and two actions helped:
1. Deinstalled the Microsoft net framework 4.5 and install 4.0 version from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
2. Downgraded my Nvidia driver from latest (that is "especially for Witcher 3") to previous version of Jul 2014 release

Only taking step 1 was not enough.

I have vsync on in nvidia control center, off in game. also FPS to unlimited in game menu. Solved my freezing problem.
