I played The Witcher series and thoroughly enjoyed all the games, and did not intend to play them again, until I saw GOG had a next gen Witcher3.

But I have to ask, is playing Next Gen really worth it?

I looked to see if I could determine what was included, and could not find it. If someone could point me to a page that I clearly missed?

And is it heavily based on the Netflis series? I hope not. To be nice, I stopped watching it. I gave up early in the second season. The script was beyond horrible and should have been burned, with the producers mandating a rewrite. The casting was pitiful and patheitc, and the directing / acting wearker than a hairpin collection as a chainlinked fenece.

Whomever was responsible for that disaster should have been removed and a more capable team hired.

The exception was Henry Cavill, who I will admit, I had my doubts when he was cast;; however, he was incredible, and was the best thing about the show. WOW! He nailed the part, and because of him, I tried to stick out with the show as long as I could; however, not even his shoulders could carry the failed load of the show. I read recently he was leaving the show. Smart move. It will save his career.

All that aside, if anyone has some insight as to the game, and if it is worthwhile or not, kindly chime in.

There's an armor set and a couple of optional alternate outfits for characters and Nilfgaardian soldiers from the show. Nothing more.

As for the Next-Gen Update on PC: If find it to be in a terrible state. While Ray Tracing can be demanding, it runs much worse now even with RT turned off. DLSS and FSR2 barely give any perfomance gain even when set to Performance quality, which is odd. I would wait for patches.
