Had no crashes before the 1.03 patch. Run the game all on Ultra w/ Hairworks ON, VSync ON, Foliage Dist High. This is @1080p with a GTX 980 an i5 3570k. So after the patch, I started crashing often.

First thing I did (after a night's sleep) was re-verify Steam cache, and Yup, 11 files had to be re-downloaded. Then I took advice from other places and tried 2 more things:

1 - disabled Steam overlay

2 - closed Firefox while playing (I know the reports have said Chrome was the issue, but I gave it a try anyway)

Result is I've played the last 2 and a half hours crash free. Same settings, fps stays around 60, temps are fine (they were before).

Give these things a try is you have any of these setups.

Gonna test some more.
