Hey
the game worked just fine till I tried to update the game with the 1.30 patch.
Installation failed: disk access problem", the play button remains gray but I can select More/Manage/Verify-Repair and then select "Verify Game" where it looks like it's trying to download and install again but it get the same error message. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Many of us are having problems. A temporary workaround to continue playing (if that is your ambition) is to run the witcher 3 exe file from the game's folder instead of using galaxy.

another user reported completely uninstalling and then re-installing but manually patching. i'm personally just hoping to wait it out until they fix it.

I solved the problem by deleting galaxy from my pc and reinstalled it. After that everything works again.
