Hello folks

Halfway through Witcher 3 (old gen version), but I've paused and played other stuff for a year until I get a new GPU that can handle the next gen version.
I should be getting the new GPU in the next few weeks, so I just wondered about the general procedure with the next gen update...
Once I download and update, will I never be able to access the old version again? Or will both versions exist on my harddrive concurrently?
Old version version has been running pretty flawlessly so I would prefer to have the option to continue with old gen if there are problems with new gen.
Let me know what you think!

Thanks
If you are enjoying the older version, I would encourage you to keep playing it.

Yes, there were some few additions of armor and gear in the "Complete" Edition. However, there were many other changes which I didn't like, including some quest changes.

The biggest negative was that the inventory system is now so buggy that I didn't get through the first play-through with out having "phantom" items showing up in my chest and in my inventory. I tried backtracking to earlier saves, but the issue persisted, even when I elected to begin New Game + early.

This issue ruined The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for me; It had been my favorite game of all time before this inventory bug bit me.
Copy/backup/save your savegames.
Rename your current directory or install the next gen update in a new directory. This might mess up or mix save games.

The old version should be available in your library.as TW3 Classic under the extras of the Complete Edition. So you can always choose that.
Hello,

To be clear, I really like this game ( THE WITCHER 3 ).

But like Hooyaah, the patch versions > 4, including patch version 4.04, have many bugs (in the inventory and even in game).

To avoid this, I prefer patch version 1.32.
I'm talking about the PC versions.

Have a nice day,
