Hello everyone.
I have bought Witcher 3 with both expansions today. I got back to my home, opened boxes and read instructions. Instruction for basic W3 Wild hunt says I have to register game on GOG Galaxy platform, while expansions says I can convert my cd-keys to Steam or Origin platform. I did so. I registered my basic game on GOG and expansions on Origin. Then I realised I screwed and cant play any expansions, becouse basic game is on GOG platform. I've already written a ticket to GOG support if I can get my key back. If they cant help me it means I will have to buy another Witcher 3 game, which is damn expensive. Im mad and sad at once. That is the result of one sheet of paper instructions, which do not guide players properly. There is no word in the polish instruction of basic Witcher 3 game (which I used) about the fact, that it have to register basic game on Origin platform aswell. I hope you understand what I mean. Have any of you had similar experience? Did GOG support help you? Im desperate. If my mistake cant be fixed it will make me very sad.
Give their support a chance to respond to your ticket.
I'm a little surprised that Origin let you register a dlc for a game you do not own on Origin. i know that Steam doesn't allow this.

This sound rather weird - why would the instructions say to register the base game on GOG and the DLC on Steam or Origin. This does not make sense. Where exactly have you bought the game?
Im absolutely furious right now. I dont know who to blame - me or idioticly written game instruction. Now when I checked it all again, I see that instruction says, that base game and expansions have to be installed on the same platform to work, but it's written with a small words between huge ammount of text. I just didnt see this. I dont know what to do now. I will try to get my cd-key back from the Origin platform, but I seriously doubt they will help me.

Have you tried the DLC keys on GOG? My Witcher 1 steam key works on GOG as well.
The situation is quite funny now. I called to EA company and talked with someone from customers support service. My Origin codes has been deactivated and I recieved official mail from EA company, that proves my games has been removed from their platform. Now Im negotiating with CD Projekt Red (makers of Witcher game) about giving me new keys to the expansions. Pheew.... what a mess.
