During the quest "Envoys, Wineboys" the game crashes when loading after the cutscene where Geralt and the knight-errants ride out of Velen.

I have tried numerous approaches to the problem such as:
Deleting any mods that i have/had (the only one i had was console commands)
Redownloading patch 1.21 and redownloading HOS to ensure that it's in version 1.21
Editing the registry (yes, i know it's risky and might make things worse)
Updating my screen driver
Manually and redownloading B&W, HOS and patch 1.21

Other important things to point out:
-I'm not the only one with this problem, several people seem to have the same issuse and for some of them, redownloading patch 1.21 helped
- although i have download patch 1.21 (when i try to download it, it says the patch has already applied), the game itself is still in patch 1.12 and the game menu says that it's V1.12
-the menu says that i have installed B&W but when looking in the menu through downloads, only HOS appears
