I really enjoy playing Gwent in Witcher 3, and so as soon as they were available I bought the official Gwent decks. Only snag was there's no official board or mat to play the game on.

So, I decided to make my own and printed a customised design onto a high-quality cotton cloth. It turned out so well I thought I'd share it with the community!

To my relief, the game plays just as well as it does in-game :)

What do you guys think?

Well Done! You could print more of these and sell many of them, I would surmise.

Can you give details of how you went about the process?
Well done. It's very cute. Could we ask how you made it?

That's really neat. Though I have to admit that I cringed at picture 5 when I saw it all folded up. That will destroy it eventually. I know it's big, and needs a method for storing, but wouldn't inserting stiff, flat anti-roll type things on each end, and then rolling it up and place it into a tall cylinder be much better? You could get the cylinders from many places, like fishing tackle suppliers. Just a thought.

You do make a really good point and it's something I will consider. I'd literally only made this last weekend and so hadn't even considered storage beyond folding up as you would any other cloth.

I'll give it some thought! :)

Well it's not too difficult but a bit fiddly. I had to used a customised design of the 'Gwent play area' as seen in-game. Then sized it so it would fit the official cards correctly. Then printed said design onto a high-quality cotton cloth, and finally trimmed and hemmed the edges by hand so that they wouldn't fray over time.

Well worth the effort though as it actually plays really well :)
Gotta say - It looks great.
