Hello, comrades.
I'm quite surprised to see that despite numerous improvements made by CDPR, there is still no option to turn that annoying thing off.

Let me explain, I haven't played game for around a year. Back in early June 2015, when I finished replaying second half of campaign just to see different outcomes for certain quests I uninstalled the game and haven't touched it until, well, now. It wasn't because I was disappointed with it, quite the contrary, Witcher 3 is one of the best experiences I ever had, So great, in fact, I haven't played much other games because they felt like utter rubbish (and frankly, they were). However, there were few annoying things, including that older Dandelion's narration.

So I bought season pass, and decided to dive into world of Witcher 3 again, but before starting expansions I wanted to replay core game to a) familiarize myself with changes (I stopped playing at 1.04, just for perspective) and b) remember what saves contain, since we are deprived from ability to name saves as we see fit. Yet woe-woe, that narration came back, and I instantly remembered how much I hated it year ago.

I tried to search the web for solution and there is a mod on nexus (http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/66/?), that, apparently, supposed to work and remove intro and/or story books. Problem is, it doesn't work. Yes, I even tried to watch Gopher's video on subject to verify I'm doing everything right, but results are the same - intro is there and Dandelion's blabbering too. Please, can anyone lend a hand and help me to solve this rather annoying problem? Thanks in advance.

There's another one with almost same name, link
Tested it, it works - no story, skips to a loading screen.

Very interesting: quite honest, I hate(d) this fop for no special reason, and reading about him giving speeches (where, when) would certainly help me finally hate him with a well founded reason --- but, in all my different play throughs I never encountered "him" (hate the name, too) the way that this is described here.

Must be at the start?
All I get there are two loading screens that I can skip using the space key.
So please: where is it, want to see ...

There are those chunks of narration on loading screens for every chapter of main story. Here (obviously, SPOILERS) is collection on youtube. It's great addition to the story, but can get annoying when you might need to load a lot through one part of main quest

Bloody marvellous, it works! Thank you kind sir, you are truly a saviour!
Is there anything I can help you with as form of gratitude?

It may be due to different language versions. If memory serves, only English VO has different, "older" Dandelion's voice, which I find to be quite irritating on its own, unlike original Dandelion's voice, which is far more tolerable.
Yet as our good honourable CaribbeanRum said, you'll hear this narration every time you load a game (even on SSD, let alone fast HDD) or initiate map change through fast travel until you complete main quest and be teleported back to Kaer Morhen.
In early days of Witcher 3, it had rather clunky and sluggish controls, that, in my opinion, led to many deaths of Geralt and subsequent loadings of the game while playing on maximum difficulty. This, combined with necessity to get back from Skellige to continent and back, and rare, but still present "damn, I'm stuck" situations led to extreme irritation of yours truly, and bringing memories of Spectres from Starcraft 2. So hearing how Ciri did that, or Yennifer found this in xth's time was very, very, very annoying, without ability to skip it, because even with fastest loading at least part of each cutscene had to be listened.
I honestly do not know whether Chris Priestley brought this biowarish infection with him, but I hardly understand why CDPR decided to copy this irresponsible design decision from Mass Effect 2, where loading "movies" unnecessarily increased loading times greatly (as without them game loaded in a blink of an eye). This feature may be explained as required on older console to hide long loading times back in early Mass Effect days, but now and on PC? Totally worthless.
I use this . I'm not sure if I did anything special but I do use [url=ScriptMergerhttp://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/484/?]Script Merger along with a mods.settings file where I specify the logical order the mods should be chosen (this is not necessary but it can help as the scriptmerger can't prioritize which orders the mods are supposed to work).

Create a text file in The Witcher 3 folder in Documents and then change the file ending to .settings

'kind lady' would be nice =) Otherwise, no need, hope your gameplay will be more enjoyable now

"Be realistic. What colour did you want your dragon?" ;)

Thanks, gameplay is indeed better. And faster.
So, if there is some game you'd like to receive as gift, and I can afford it (you know, fuel prices are high, and I need to put some diesel in bucket!), ping me. ;)

Thanks as well.:)

Thank you for clearing this up - I never would have thought that the narration is actually the fop's aged version of voice. Guess I live with this anyway - as long as there are patches from CDPR there is a good chance that after patching any mod will only work if it has been patched, too. Would need too much attention ...

True, but for now it works and I greatly enjoying the game, without Dandelion's blabbering, almost forcing you to sing "Sound of silence" every damn time you hear his voice. :)
Take care. :)
