Thanks to exploring I picked up the enhanced insectoid oil pattern before the basic one.

Found the basic one later on (in the mage cave) and went to make it only to discover that the only one listed was the enhanced version. Sadly I can't recall how far back I'd have to go in order to find them in the correct order.

I noticed from the bombs that better versions overwrite whereas in the other crafting the patterns are just listed, as in enhanced ursine doesnt block regular ursine from being made.

I've yet to find some of basic recipes, so I guess we're in same boat.
