MihaiHornet: Since when do people classify by the gaming platform they like?
Welcome to the Internet!

eisberg77: As early as 11/25/2010 CD Project talked about this game going to console. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-25-will-the-witcher-2-come-to-console
Actually, it was much earlier, right after the official announcement.
This should clear things up: http://www.psu.com/The-Witcher-2-getting-console-release--a008155-p0.php

And I quote:
Although PC is a certain choice we made regarding platforms for The Witcher 2, we also want to release the console version
----------
The Witcher 2 was unveiled for the first time earlier this week in leaked video form. No further details are available at present, though we’ll keep you posted
I think the console version wasn't exactly marketed in the beginning, hence the confusion. But they did plan the game accordingly.

gregski: How many more threads like this are gonna be there, geez, it's getting boring people!

How about you just go for another playthrough of the game and take it easy.

jklinders: Way way too many. I've given up actually.
How about stopping for a moment to consider the fact that, if so many people are complaining, then there's actually something wrong that should be fixed?
Or do you just classify all people who disagree with your opinion as "elitists"?

eisberg77: Would like to point out that the melee combat of swinging the sword in The Witcher 1 was a QTE. Also, having QTEs in a PC game again, brings back some good memories. Old PC gamers like me will remember some great classic PC games that was all QTE game play.
That's a good point. However, apart from the QTE's, there are a few elements in the game that aren't quite optimal for the PC. Like the control/targeting scheme, interface, and might i dare to say, the simplifying of combat?

There are also things like these: The Witcher 2 designed with consoles in mind.

And I quote again:
CD Projekt RED’s Jan Bartkowicz said: “You can play The Witcher 2 with joypad – it’s implemented. The whole interface is designed with console in mind, in fact”
All in all, it's not a perfect game, and definitely not perfectly implemented on the PC. There's always room for improvement, and if they can do that with an expansion or (less likely) patches, they'd silence every PC "elitist" out there that's screaming right now.

It's not really so many people. Just the same 5-6 in every thread about it. That barely constitutes a vocal minority much less "so many people."

I never used the word elitist but go ahead and put words in my mouth if you really feel like tackling strawmen.
