Hi I just wanted to know if you guys know about the lighting bug for crossfire users with amd's new 11.5b hot fix.

VAMET: Dear pahamrick

I don't think you will have a better performance, because this patch will change retail exec to GOG.com exec to have a better performance for retail customers.
If you will have ATI it will still need a good update of drivers, it will only fix for NVIDIA 3D drivers, there will be no more need to uninstall them.
Invert mouse you may do changing one thing in ini file.
So nothing special for GOG.com users in this patch :)

I hope so you will not complain and will not be dissapointed after patch releasing :)

Best regards.

Sincerely

pahamrick: With the patch and the latest hotfix from ATI, I'm getting a rock solid 60fps on ultra, with texture memory set to very large, LOD set to far, and ubersampling disabled at 1080p.

No complaints so far.
What was performance like before you installed the patch? Was the boost just from the hotfix or did that fix things too?

Marcin360: The thing is, we promised you that we would fix everything with DLC included. We don't want to give you a patch that doesn't fix everything we promised. Please bare with us for a while longer.
Take your time and don't mind the whining, I'm sure most of us are not in any kind of hurry and just want a good working patch. :)
@Marcin360 : Thank you for the update.

You guys have probably burnt the candle at both ends for quite a while now.... Forget the patch for today, go home and catch some zzz's and we'll see you'all bright and early again tomorrow.

:-)

I fully understand and greatly appreciate all you've done so far!

I just feel that for a lot of people, the performance issues far outweigh the unplayable DLC so far.

We all know that CD Projekt are going to keep patching things for a while - having to wait a a few days extra for the DLC fix but get the performance enhancements now seems like a fair trade. Anything that doesn't get fixed now will likely be done by 1.2 so I don't think that postponing certain troublesome aspects would hurt our faith in you at all!

At least it would stop the people on the community site complaining that there has been no patch!

I've got 5870s in crossfire, using the original Dirt 2 profile AFR setting I'd get a pretty stable frame rate in the mid 40s to mid 50s with dips into the mid 30s for certain areas. FPS was only 5-8 off with crossfire disabled for me, so the dirt 2 profile wasn't much of a gain for me personally.

I didn't try the game with the hotfix before applying the patch, so I couldn't say what gave me the better boost.
Damned DLS ... I do not want ... fix major bugs and issues are more important than a couple of things from the DLS. Why delay the patch that will fix the real problems because of such trifles as the DLS?

Well I hope it was the patch! I'm getting a steady 30FPS with some dips to the mid 20s in high foliage areas and would love to get a 10/15% boost to smooth things out *keeping fingers crossed*
Dear Friends

I have:

CPU: Intel i5-750 2.66GHz Quad Core
GPU: ATI 5850 1GB 256bit
RAM: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3
OS: Windows 7 x64

The Witcher 2: AoK is GOG.com version at 1920x1080p Ultra High Detail without ubersampling and 25-34 FPS, no problems at all.

I have not even installed the patch 11.5b from ATI.

Best regards.

Sincerely

i've read in some places that the problem is not exclusive to ATI Crossfire users but also to Nvidia SLI Users so maybe the problem is within the game not external drivers.
reackon its safe to use this patch if youve done troll trouble and have sold the roches commando armour?
Dear Friends

Patch 1.1 Update
May 26, 2011, 11:16 a.m.

The good news is that the patch is ready. The bad news is that we have encountered some problems with the server infrastructure, making downloading DLCs impossible. We want to apologize to our fans for not meeting our target of delivering the patch last night. We will update you when we know more.

Sincerely
Marcin, what about the full patch notes? You should have them by now.
