Looking for a file in the installed folder, I found a Steam_api.dll.

What is this for? Why is there? Just to know. It really impressed me.
That's quite common. It might be a dummy file, so that the .exe can be built against the .dll without having to be built twice or to check whether it exists at runtime; or it may be a real Steam .dll that nobody bothered to remove.
