CDProjekt Red really out did themselves this time compared to the first Witcher.
Brilliant writing and character development! I love King Foltest character, his a King that I would definately follow into battle.

Graphics are amazing also, its right up there with the likes of Crysis 2. Best looking RPG game for sure. I've only played the prologuea and abit of chapter 1 but DAYYYUMmm! It's heaps better than Dragon Age 2 or Mass Effect 2.

The difficulty is perfect too! Hard means HARD, I love the challenge and I love how they put an insane difficulty aswell. You can already tell that they have indeed poured their hearts into this game and unlike those other games I mentioned...This is definately a PC game!

Thanks CDP for an excellent product and they fully deserve my money :D
I have to agree I've only played for a couple hours but I am pretty amazed the game is so beautiful and atmospheric. I am also playing on hard so it's pretty challenging but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Yrden is very useful to trap a couple of enemies and get a few hits in on a 3rd.

Great stuff... as good as I expected and more!

Yeah I've started to use the electric shield one, I find that I die alot if I don;t use that shield.
And I have only played the 5 first minutes and I must say that TW2 is a damn good one !

Animations are quite good (even if some are laughable), level of detail is amazing and the engine (while some have problems) is killing the eyes !

As for the scenario, 5 minutes isn't enough to get a good grasp of it... can't wait to get home to follow the journey of Geralt !
I'm mind blown. It's really amazing. I'm now in the dungeon, as seen in a trailer. I could kill the guards, but I want to be a nice witcher. But that requires stealth skills.
Yep. It's so good to be able to sit down, play a new game, and think "Oh joy, someone's finally done this properly!" I'm a few hours in and this game has taken me by surprise. I never hype myself up for games, so I never expected it to be this masterful.

Graphically, it's wonderful. I'm running everything at maximum, except for SSAO, Ubersampling (losses outweigh the gains for these settings). I've got Anti-Aliasing turned off as well, but that's because I'm using Morphological Anti-Aliasing (4x AA quality at no performance hit). I'm getting smooth as silk performance all the time. I've caught myself just looking at the scenery and listening to the sounds of nature more than once! But it's not just the technical side that amazes me. It's also the art direction. CDPR have managed to capture a real Dark Fantasy look whilst still using a vibrant colour pallette. The characters - while stylised somewhat - really convey a sense of realism to the world.

The combat learning curve is brutal, and I'm only playing normal difficulty. I'm no stranger to the Witcher 1 either. But I'm one who embraces a challenge rather than shy away from it. Ninja Gaiden taught me the virtues of patience, observation, and learning from mistakes, rather than rage-quit. I'm getting better at combat all the time. I have a feeling that once I become proficient, it'll be an immensely satisfying experience.

I could rant on and on. Just about everything has impressed me and literally puts all but a few recent games to shame. You can really tell this game wasn't just made for profits (though I hope it makes CDPR a lot!). It was a labour of love. You have to really love what you do to make a game this detailed and cohesive.

My hat is off to you CDPR. You have outdone yourselves, and taught a somewhat jaded gamer that there's at least one developer out there who still knows how to make a great game.
Just played through the tutorial and I'm absolutely stunned at what CDP has pulled off. This is the best RPG in a very long time.
My first run is on easy as I'm focusing on storyline... even there you do need to use signs and potions at times....

Have finished the Prologue and in the main town of Chapter 2...

Amazing so far... just breathtaking!

Using a TW1 save of triss+scoiatel ... plan to replay at harder difficulty afterwards for the other possible starts.
The difficulty reminds me of Demon Souls..

It's challenging but there are no cheap deaths, the reason for all my deaths are from my own mistakes.

I'm fighting the big boss at the moment, the big giant octopus thing! Damn I am stuck atm but I feel I can totally beat it. I am not frustrated, because I know I can and will beat it.

The difficulty is so refreshing. PC gaming at its best!
