I just bought the GOG version of withcer 2. when i launch the game, i get a "no disk in the drive" error. if i hit continue, th egame launches, but it's still very annoying to have to deal with that all the time, considering I bought the NO-DRM Gog version.

You might try reinstalling it. Make sure you are an admin when you do. If the problem persists contact GoG customer support.

I am using the GoG version and have never gotten that message and haven't seen any other posts of that problem.
It happens sometimes for me too when i have a disk in the drive (for another game) then eject that disk and try to launch The Witcher 2. It's a weird bug, but the game launches anyway so i basically just ignore it.
^Hi Namur, thats exactly what I did before I got that weird "no disk" error.

I had Bioshock 2 disk in my drive, then I ejected it and launched withcer 2. That's when the error came up.

This shows that it definitely has something to do with securom :(
Confirm. This happened to me yesterday for the first time as well.

I also own the GOG.com version. Never had this bug before. But yesterday I installed some software before I started The Witcher 2 and was then “greeted” by the mentioned error message.

It's not a big deal, but as said already, it's still kind of annoying.

I don't know if it's Securom related or not but it is a bit weird.

In any case, if it bohers you or if you need clarification on this you'll likely will have to contact CDPR support. You can contact their support here (scroll all the way down for the 'contact us' button).

You can contact gog support too but considering the nature of the issue they probably will forward the query to CDPR anyway, so...
