Yea! F*** the casual gamer and them wanting to use a form of entertainment as fun! F*** the fact that they are giving money to the developer to continue producing said entertainment. The fact that they even wake up makes me want to shoot myself!

Oh yea, in other words... F*** the OP.
TOTALLY AGREE! OH HELL AGREE!!!

WHY DONT THEY CHOOSE AN EASY LEVEL, TURN OFF QTE?

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BEAT THE MAIN QUEST SO EARLY AND NOT LEVEL UP PAST ENOUGHT?

WHY DONT THEY CRAFT SOME BOMBS, RUN AWAY THEN THROW BOMBS AS THE ENEMY?

WHY MUST THEY COMPLAIN "TRULY THE ERROR FROM GAME DEVELOPERS" !!! OMG !

Couldn't have said it better myself. Besides, thus far I have found the bosses challenging but perfectly doable, and not 'insanely' difficult. I agree though that games should appeal to all users: from casual to the extremist. Otherwise, one or the other will feel alienated and lose interest quickly.

evilchamp: This game's bosses are insanely difficult, even on normal.

About time something was made for the hardcore gamer. I could give a crap about you casual gamers, mainly because you ruined a lot of games for me ... (cough, cough, DA2). And yes, it is your fault, you shouldn't have wanted to play video games in the first place.

Thank you CDPR for this great game. Sure, I have my gripes with it, but they are very minor, and as a customer, I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

For some reason I worry that CDPR will see some of the comments and make a dumbed down version of the game for W3, or an upcoming patch. PLEASE DON'T!
... when I grow up, I want to be an e-man just like you...

ok, back to reality... the game is not that hard even at the highest difficulty once you figure out the "trick"... yes, even the so-called boss fights.

As for this "casual gamer", I got news for you... without the "casual gamer", there would be no video game industry, as the video industry is a business with the goal to make money, not to cater to the self-labeled "hardcore gamer" , but to a much, much broader audience.

On a side note, I never understood what's so "hardcore" about playing a video game..
Extreme rock mountain climbing, hardcore.
Base jumping, hardcore.
Free diving, hardcore.
Michael Phelps eating 12,000 calories a day and burning them, hardcore.
Pounding your thumbs and/or fingers sitting on your chair/couch playing a video game, not hardcore

There are reasons why they provided 4 different levels of difficulty.

Kradath: So if you go play minigold you want to get spit on by professional golfers? When you normally drive your car you should get banned from streets because you are no formal 1 driver?
I think his complaint is more along the lines of: the minigolfers complain about the real golf course being too difficult, so the golf course designers start to create hybrid golf courses where every second hole is a minigolf hole.

Kradath: And no, it is not their fault, the developers made those games, nobody else.
This is a good point. Don't be angry at the casual gamers. Be angry at the developers that cave in and start designing their games to appeal to the casual gaming market just to cash in. Nothing wrong with having an easy mode for the casual gamer, but if instead of holding with their vision and creating games that appeal to their original core fanbase they start 'simplifying' their games so they're just dressed up casual games... be angry at that.

Skoltnik: i'm pretty they won't make it easier with a patch

Gidzin: I'm prettier!! It took almost 4ys for a follow up to TW2 alot can happen The next generation Witcher will be playable on the WII.......oh my!!
LOL. I meant pretty sure. haha

olimikrig: I don't see any reason why they would. There's always easy for the casual gamers...
avatar
evilchamp: From reading some of the comments on this forum, easy is too difficult for some.

I for one usually play a game on Hard or the second to highest difficulty when starting off. It's a rarity that I play on normal. My logic being: I'm a gamer, I have a better grasp of how to play games than the average person.

Not so much the case with W2, which is awesome.
You are my hero oh great game player. We are not worthy to be in your presence.
Douche.

I just don't understand the hatred many show with their posts. The casual market is the biggest one, that's why the developers shift their focus on it. So you have to blame them.

Insulting someone just because gaming is not his primary hobby is simple childish ignorance, as some think they are the middle of the universe and every opinion that differs from theirs is only worth an insult.

Welcome to the internet. Some people get their jollies by insulting others and acting like asshats. Guess it makes them feel superior or something. No big deal. Just ignore it.
Just so things are clear, I don't mind difficulty in my games, however there are many many ways in which a game can be deemed difficult.

What I dislike in TW2 is that difficulty is mainly based on reflexes and skill with the game controls. I wish it were otherwise. It certainly didn't ruin the game for me and I still enjoyed it tremendously, but I would have preferred a difficulty more based on quests/strategy/char building or something along those line.

I dont think people appreciate the idea of RPG games: you get to build up your character !!!

For Chris Sake, put oil on your blade, drink a potions, kills the monster at night. Put lure there to attract monsters! Level up before you head on the main quest!

The funniest part about your reply is this:

I literally typed F, followed by 3 Asterisks (*). I didn't even type the word. I did that simply to mock the OP (who if you read the first post and the title, swore). So really, you should be saying this to the OP, not me. Who simply typed a letter followed by 3 non-alphanumerical symbols.
