Anyone able to shed some wisdom on how to kill the Endriag Queens? Im currently lvl 8 with 2 points Vigor regen, 2 in parry and 2 in vitality and ive got 1 free point to spend in any tree i wish.
Ive tried setting traps, ive tried Quen and Yari, ive tried nuking the bitches to hell with bombs but i just cant seem to do much damage to them.

I block and attack when they recoil because one hit from them and im one shotted. (playing on normal rally dont wish to drop to easy, but its looking more and more likely that ill have to just restart the game and switch to easy because normal is pretty damn hard.
hey im having trouble too, but i dont know how to find the queens, ive found cacoons and destrotd them but the queens dont show up ;s

what do i do to get them to appear?
I've found that when the queen first attacks you, and then at certain stages during the fight, she'll charge you. When she does this, roll to the side, and afterwards, she'll be kinda dazed for a bit. When this happens, flank her, at hit her with your strong attacks at her back. Did this twice, with a little bit of ignii and it seemed to kill her quickly
They are pretty simple to kill. Use Yrden-sign trap, wait for the queen to run into it, circle behind it and hit the backside a few times with hard attack, run away when queen loses the orange haze and drop new Yrden. Make sure you don't hit too many times in row or the queen will counter attack. Do this a few times and you should be able to kill the queen without taking any hits.
I am in the EXACT same position right now, playing on normal with pretty much same stats and having the same luck.

I noticed in the game's Endregas knowledge section (found as a button in the character attributes screen) that if you hit the queen in the ass with your silver sword with a bleeding oil (brown oil) applied to it, then apparently they bleed out easily - this doesn't seem to be helping much though as nothing seems to stun the bitch long enough to get there. I managed to kill one - but apparently that was pot luck because this one is proving impossible.

Its not helping me, but maybe someone else knows something to add to that - its worth mentioning anyway.
As it happens, every one else posted at the same time haha, I'll give yrden one more shot - thanks :)

I generally spam traps to soften them up, then I just use Ygren to stun, roll in to strike at their flank a few times, roll away. Takes forever, but not terribly difficult. A swallow poition will let you recharge health easier when you roll to saefty.

Like most of the spawns in the game, they are "on a tether" to their initial spawnpoint. So, it may be sort of exploitative, but you can easily find the point they wont cross to use a "safety zone to dodge back out of and rest up for another strike. (A big AI gripe with me btw, but Im not above exploiting it for particularly ridiculous encounters)

Pretty much everything that would stun/daze her helps. Yrdn doesn't work all the time. She won't move for several seconds while being dazed/stunnded. Plenty of time to get behind her and cut her down.
While she is able to move, you have to keep your distance and dodge her charge and poison attacks.
edit again to my previous post - yrden works wonders!
I ran into my first Queen last night after a 12 hour play session. I had to put the game down and go to bed at that point. I was like "how the hell am I supposed to kill THAT!!". I will take these tips and give it another go later tonight after work.
Go to the woman in Lobinden who sells Insectoid Oil. You'll carve them up with it so long as you use hit and run. See if you can get some traps from Cedric as well.
I just killed them using igni.

My sword did nearly no damage and I started using the fast sword attack to make the queen stop and then immediately roll and wait for vigor to load and throw igni in the face. Then just roll to the side from poison spray and charge.

The combat log was saying "Geralts deals minimal damage" to all the strikes except a few where it said I didn't do any damage at all

hope this helps. I was stuck too. But then I read the game guide and watched the video.
Cant wait to go home and implement
They are pretty simple.
Use silver sword
parry+x2 heavy swings
parry+x2 heavy swings
etc
make sure you kill all the add befor destroying 3rd egg(one that spawns the queen)
I think I came across a bug in this side quest. I destroyed a few of the cocoons before accepting the quest, after accpeting I killed 1 queen but couldn't find the second as I believe it's because of what I did earlier on.

I had set up snares or use yrden, drank swallow, rook, tawny owl and used an oil that caused bleeding (insectoid oil would also work) beforehand & just rolled behind it when it charged at me and attack with a sword combo.

This is what I did, had no issues after using this tactic.
