I finished the game back when it was released and decided to finally play through with the other side.
Since the Enhanced Edition apparently expands the ending I thought Id use my old save from right before having to talk to Letho in Act 3 end to see the new ending only to find out I cant speak to him?

I tried starting a new game and I can initiate conversation with Triss at the beginning. However I have no interest in playing the game knowing I wont be able to finish it due the bug, not to mention it might happen even earlier with other NPCs.

I found similiar issues with AMD card owners, but Im using NVidia card.

Changing the Texture Memory Size has no effect.

Game is patched to latest version from what I can tell. Downloaded the enhanced edition from GOG.com on 27.8.2012, installed on same day, installed all the patches the launcher offered, including "Patch_2.3 Chinese update". Launcher not proposing any more patches and witcher2.exe properties shows file version 3.2.2.0

Specs:
Core I5 2500k
MSI N570GTX, updated the latest 306.02 drivers, didnt work with with older 304.48 either
8GB memory

Pre-EE saves aren't compatible with EE-patched games. Bugs like this happen when you try to use old saves on a patched game, sadly. There's nothing that can really be done about it except for starting a new game (the bugs don't occur if you start a new game, so don't worry about that).

If you really want to see the ending for your old save, you might consider posting the choices you made. Someone might have a save with the same choices at the end.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions, started thinking that might be the case as well.

I also found the postgame autosave that the game makes after completing it and managed to see the extended ending that way.

Now to start a new playthrough.
