I'm having an issue with NPCs not giving me items. I've just reached Vergen, and had two characters say, "Ok, I'm going to give you something" then get no message when I leave the conversation and nothing appears in my inventory. I'm wondering if I perhaps messed up my install. I had issues with Troll trouble, so I downloaded Patch 1.1, and it was constantly saying "Cannot write to file".

I deleted everything in the downloads section in my registry and that seemed to fix it. I also installed all the free DLC that's been floating around, but didn't find any of that in my inventory either. I'm wondering if one of those may have broken that aspect of the game, things being dropped in my inventory. I can still pick up stuff fine from containers.

Any ideas? I may try a re-install, but this seems like a definite bug.
