Yeah, cat is useless with the stock brightness setting. The mines are lot creepier when it's adjusted properly.

Yeah but it makes the morning to evening rather sucky due to the unnaturally darkened settings.
yeah it definately needs some adjustment guide. My impression is that some enviroments are not balanced in terms of illumination. While some scenarios work fine others are either too bright or too dark.

I think it depends alot on the monitor. I have the factory brightness setting way down on my Acer because it's always too bright for me. My night-to-morning transitions are just fine in the game with the in-game brightness down a bit.
