So, I've been having V-sync issues. I've looked high and low for help, and every solution I have found leads to a dead end of sorts. Here is what it comes down to:

-it is a known issue with my graphics card, Radeon HD 5770 Hawk, and forcing v-sync with the ATI control panel is known to not work. Neither has using RadeonPro helped.

-v-sync can be forced with a program called D3DOverdrive, which comes with the Rivatune program. However, D3DOverdrive appears to not work with Windows 7 64-bit, which is what I have

I appear to have exhausted any other possible leads. I have a graphics card known to be problematic, and the software with the potential to fix this issue is incompatible with my operating system.

Does anyone know of any other ways I can fix this game? New graphics card? New OS? Set up a virtual machine with VMware that has a 32-bit OS?

Any help would be tremendously appreciated!

It's actually called D3DOverrider, and I used it without any problems on Windows 7 64-bit. It's just a tiny little program that sits in the system tray and forces vsync. What happens when you try to use it? Do you get error messages, or does it run but simply doesn't force vsync? I vaguely remember having to check the option to force vsync in the program the first time I ran it, but after that it's worked perfectly simply by launching it.
I actually fixed this problem about a week ago, forgot about this thread, sorry!

I used RadeonPro by applying it to the witcher.exe file, not the launcher.exe file.

As for D3DOverrider, whenever I would try and use it, it simply would not start. I would double-click it, and nothing would happen. No system tray icon, just a process in the task manager.

I was surprised when you said RadeonPro didn't work, it has like 4 or 5 different methods of forcing vsync. I thought maybe it just didn't like your card or something...

That's odd. Glad you got vsync working anyway!
