Any idea why or how to fix it?

This one's included in the Fixes To Common Problems sticky thread... it's apparently a problem with using 16:10 resolutions. If you use a 16:9 resolution instead it should fix the problem. That will mean you'll end up with black bars on the top and bottom of your screen though.

Note that this was from other players' reports, I did not encounter this problem myself.
