So, I could not get the Swapper to start.
Went through all the troubleshooting steps, with no luck.
Updated graphics, forced 3D mode through the card, safe mode, blah, blah.

Finally found out that Bitdefender anti-virus has a Safe Files feature that protects folders. And it was blocking file changes in Documents/Facepalm Games.

Allowed Swapper to make changes - works fine.
