So I just recently beat The Suffering 1 and found it phenomenal and wanted to get immediately started on the sequel. However, for some reason I'm not getting the good morality intro for TTB even though I beat The Suffering 1 with the good ending.

I've restarted the game 3 times keep getting the neutral opening. To make sure, I even went back to my save file for The Suffering 1 re-beat the game twice to make sure and I still am getting the neutral opening.

I'm super confused and not understanding why this is. Both of my versions are from GOG and are legit purchased from GOG itself and both do have the AIO patch installed.

I tried to look up on here and elsewhere but it seems this is a unique issue.

Any help/insight is appreciated!

You probably don't need an answer to this anymore, but I'm leaving this here for future players who have this issue. Mine works perfectly, it even gave me the option of choosing my good opening or the default neutral opening.

What I did was I simply had both Suffering games installed in the same drive (in this case, drive C:) and I didn't use the AiO patch. I don't know how you installed it, but if its the same drive maybe remove the patch?

For first you need to go to the Suffering save folder in documents/my games/the suffering/saves. Then you need to remove 1st Suffering and all aio patch files, then download the game again, go to gog galaxy/games/the suffering/saves, copy all folders from "saves" in documents/my games/the suffering/saves to "saves" in gog galaxy/games/the suffering/saves then launch the game, load the save nearest to the end of the game and complete it to the credits, close the game and then launch TTB (i dont know about aio patch for TTB but without it all will work), choose the difficulty and next you will have a message with detected Suffering save and carma choice. Warning! With this things you will lost all opened archive pages in 1st Suffering.
