Harry Kemelman was a writer who wrote a series of books called the Rabbi Small books. They have titles like Tuesday the Rabbi Got Wet and they are mysteries with a rabbi protagonist. When I played this, I thought how cool a Rabbi Small game would be if Wadjet were able to get the rights from Kemelman's estate.

The books are a bit old (from the 70s and 80s) but still well worth a read if you like rabbinic mysteries.

Kemelman is actually referenced in the game - Rabbi Stone has some of his books on the shelves in his office. I'm assuming the books had some influence on the game.

I haven't read any of them myself, but those titles (Friday the Rabbi Slept Late etc.) are definitely tempting.
