My wife is stuck on this map, Sea Routes. Going out to the east she has found a place to put the harbour, but cannot find anywhere to place a shipwright.
Any hep would be greatly appreciated.

A shipwright can be built absolutely anywhere there is space for a medium building, it doesn't have to be on a coastline like the harbour, although obviously the closer it is the faster new ships can be built.
