The ultimate aim of the game in Settlers 2 is to get your people back home after being shipwrecked after a bad storm.
To achieve your goal you will need to efficiently provide your people with all the resources they need to go about their daily work until they reach the gate that will bring them one step closer to home. Of course things are never that simple and as a result sooner or later you will have to fight, only strong leadership and gold will ensure victory!
This is probably the only game from the DOS era I still regularly play and somehow it still has something that none of the newer settlers games have being able to capture.
As well as this being a really addictive and fun game, the CD audio download is worth the asking price alone. Tip play it in your media player of choice and play the game with the midi turned off, sheer bliss!
