Hi everyone,
I've been searching the forums for this exact issue with Win11 but I've found no threads about this. I've been playing Settlers 2 for about 10 hours without any problems. But then on the 3rd island of the Roman campaign the game just suddenly crashed and ever since then when I relaunch the game it crashes about 1-2 minutes after I load the save.
Has any of you encountered this issue before? Any ideas would be appreciated, I was so happy to play again with this gem of my childhood. I have auto-save turned off.

Do you know there is the History Edition of the original The Settles II?

For the Gold version I recommend the "Return to the Roots" mod. It has multiplayer but it doesn't have the single player campaign.
