Whenever I try to start the download of the file using the gog downloader its starts with initializing and then goes straight to complete but when I try to locate the file its not there. I downloaded the extra content no problem and can locate all those zipped files just fine but not the game file.

using windows 8.1 pro.

Thanks for the help although it didn't solve my problem it identified what it was.

I work on a ship that has satellite internet and after trying to download the game directly through the browser the server stopped me stating the maximum file size that can be downloaded is 500mb and settlers is just over that.

will have to wait until I get closer to land so I can use my 4g mobile data :(
