Hey, didnt know where to put this, a prompt told me to send you a log file of a crash.
It happened while being ingame and tab out to some other window.
Any email ?

Kind regards

Hello all,

Since I don't want to open a new thread just for that : It appears my game crashes frequently while I take screenshots, however I had no option to send any crash files as the game simply closes with something like "Run Time Error".

And when it does so, I can no longer launch it again (the Play button on Galaxy stays greyed out.)

Hope this is at least a bit helpful (for the dev).

Hey, sorry that the game is crashing for you.
If you send us the contents of the error folder by email to: support@application-systems.co.uk then we can take a look and try to figure it out (it's a folder with the date of the crash inside of the game folder).

Thanks for the report, we'll take a look and see what we can do about this, can you tell us what platform you are playing on (Win/Mac/Linux) and how you are taking the screenshots (built in GOG screenshot system or some other program)?

Hello,

Indeed I can : Windows 10 64-bits, playing through Galaxy (taking screenshot via in-built feature with F12).

Couldn't replicate the issue today, of course.

Usually it says "Failure to take a screenshot" but takes a screen anyway, happens with every games I try it on, but sometime makes The Longing crash. As of today, screenshots are working as they should.

However, while I'm on it, I should mention that Galaxy fails to Synch its cloud save and that the time played is a bit off (which may take a while to update, dunno. It's about 12h on Galaxy and 22h on the GoG Website.)

Overall, the game is stable and I suffered no save loss. Though, when it does crash, I have to completely close Galaxy or else I cannot launch the game again. In fact, even if I manually exit the game, I cannot launch it through Galaxy before restarting the application.

EDIT : Well...Guess the Sync issue resolved itself too. TL;Dr : I suppose I'm fine ?

:p

The beta version of Galaxy 2.0 uses an updated overlay which is currently very broken.

The overlay frequently shows me html error messages, takes a couple of seconds to pop up after I use the shortcut, doesn't show achievement progress anymore, doesn't work in many modern games where it should, and the clock in the overlay has lost its margin and is therefore positioned badly and is harder to read.

It likely has nothing to do with the game and more so with Galaxy and your specific pc configuration. I'd recommend trying to run the game without Galaxy to see if the problem persists.

Hello,

Yes, this is what I thought also. The game in itself works perfectly fine, no issue with it. But some of Shade quotes are too good to keep to myself.

EDIT : A bit of update : since I complained the other day, I must say I have not seen any issue anymore (neither for screenshots, sync or updates), everything goes accordingly so I have to assume everything was on my end.

Thanks, ya'll.
