Can someone tell me how long this quest is supposed to take?

I've been going between 3 places where I can connect to download data by looking at the items i.e. the skull's eyes become red. I've been to each place several times, spent over an hour doing it and yet the quest hasn't received an update.

I'm getting frazzled!
