Is this normal behaviour for launch week only items to disappear from GOG downloads even if you purchased the game during that launch week and were previously able to download them?

I've already talked to GOG support but it looks like they aren't really interested in chasing it up after my last reply, so I thought I would ask the question here.

I've luckily downloaded the launch items (mini art book, art book, novel & ost) after purchasing the deluxe version of the game, but I noticed now that there are no longer any links to these Launch Items. It was my assumption that GOG kept available the original download links available, for example I have the classic Fallout games which were removed from GOG's library at one time and the downloads are still available.

While I love having the ability to have a backup of my GOG games, it still worries me that something I purchased on launch disappeared and so if I lose my backup it is gone forever (except I guess if you go the piracy route).

I didn't purchase yet but as far as I know it's not normal for that to happen. You should contact support again and let them know about it. Did you actually received an answer from them or they haven't replied yet?

Thanks for your reply,

It's been about 2 1/2 weeks since I emailed them last, so I've just reforwarded the same email again.

The problem being that these are launch items, so purchasing a new deluxe edition won't give you these additional items.
I'm hoping there are some others out there that might of purchased the game during release (July 2023), who might of noticed that those items are missing (or not, in which case it's just a specific problem with my account on my end).

Indeed, I only see the other DLC. Checked my backup, I downloaded them, originally.

Many thanks for that info, at least it is looking less like an issue with my account, though conversely this is a worse outcome since there are likely more people having this unfortunate issue of missing DLC's.

I emailed them again a couple of days ago to get an update on these missing DLC's. If it bothers you enough (even if you have a backup), it might be worth sending them a support request as well.

I sent a support request as I noticed this as well. Honestly disappointed in GoG over this one as if you are promising conservation of games and offering extras associated with those games, those should remain since they were purchased by us.

Still waiting on a reply back...
I recently realized that there was also a Soundtrack Sampler DLC that is missing; though with the Deluxe version you do get an Official Soundtrack DLC which seems to contain all of those tracks anyway.

So GOG seems to be missing 5 DLC's on my end:
-Mini Art Book
-Art Book
-Novel
-Official Soundtrack
-Soundtrack Sampler

Still of course waiting for a response myself.

I forgot to update this, but GOG did return the missing DLC's (minus the Soundtrack Sampler, but those tracks are duplicated in the Official Soundtrack anyway).

If anyone else is missing these tracks, best to contact GOG support to have them manually added back onto your account it seems...hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did.
