Is this the same problem I had with CS4?

I use my DS4 with an official bluetooth dongle to the PC. It works fantastic with all my Steam games, and most of my GoG games. Worked with all the Trails games up until CS4. To get it to work there, I had to load it as a non-Steam game and run it through Steam. (Which defeats the purpose of getting it through GoG...)

Anyone else run into this? I went into the game menu and changed the button prompts to DualShock. But I'm getting no response from the controller.

Can't confirm since I don't own the game but did you try installing DS4windows?

Correct - Although I will give as a side note that DS4windows is not needed if you use a Xbox One controller. The game recognize that one perfectly. I am using that controller, because it works on nearly every PC game where a controller is needed. I don't know about the older Xbox360 though...

Whoops! I noticed you named the ps4/ps5 controllers specifically. My bad!
That will learn me to react before I had a decent cup of (probably intense strong) coffee to wake up!
