Anniversary Update Notes
New features, Localizations, QoL improvements & Many bug fixes.
This major update includes some new frequently requested features, new human done localizations, and some quality-of-life improvements.
If you encounter any bugs or glitches in the game, please report them in the community hub, and we will do our best to fix them in the next update. Thanks for playing!
Version 1.1
New Features
• Added a dynamic puzzle icon system to the map to help players keep track of pending/unsolved puzzles, helping them get better oriented and avoid getting lost in the mansion.
• Added the setting to invert the Camera/Mouse Y axis.
• Added full support to PlayStation DualShock Controllers including the corresponding UI sprites indicators.
• Added full support to third party X-input / Direct input Controllers.
• Added Korean, Japanese & Simplified Chinese (Human done) language translations and localizations.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a bug that made the player camera spin out of control when trying to play the game with a PlayStation DualShock controller connected to the computer.
• Fixed issue that would incorrectly place the character position indicator on the map while playing on some less common screen resolutions such as the Steam Deck.
• Fixed a bug that caused some of the books in the rotating bookshelf puzzle in the library to get stuck if the player tried to rotate the shelf or move the books too quickly.
• Fixed a bug that caused the kitchen cupboard door to push the player into the basement if the player tried to close this door from inside the cupboard.
• Fixed a bug that caused the sound of the clock gears in the dining room to be too loud in some cases.
• Fixed a bug that in some rare cases prevented the player to be able to take the mask without reloading the game first after solving the masquerade party puzzle in the drawing room.
• Fixed a bug with the volumetric lights in the lobby that would cause them to render as a block that was not blocked by world geometry in some cases.
• Fixed a bug that could make that the West Wing Key on the globe puzzle disappears if the player quit the game after solving the puzzle without taking the key first.
• Fixed an error where after solving the vestibule clock puzzle, the clue stated that the clock hand stopped at 3:45 PM, but the actual clock hand was stopping at 3:40 PM.
• Fixed a bug that showed a Spanish paragraph in the German translation and other mistranslations.
• Fixed a bug that makes that a wall in Nicholas bathroom disappear at certain angles letting the players see the skybox.
• Fixed some bugs that caused the geometry of some objects to intersect the geometry of the world when the player examined them from certain specific angles.
• Fixed some translation typos.
• Fixed many minor bugs.
Quality of life Improvements
• The default mouse (camera) sensitivity has been significantly reduced and the range of the sensitivity slider has been adjusted and expanded to make it more comfortable for most gamers without requiring any adjustment while also being flexible by letting to adjust the sensitivity for a wide range of DPI settings.
• The physics based "Slide the block out" puzzle in the drawing room was replaced with a more user-friendly original puzzle.
• The Drawers and cabinets now store their opened/closed state between game sessions.
