I am stuck in VL, the Alien planet.

I need to find the last item that will help me turn on the cargo loader. Basically, a mini game between labs 12, 13, 14, and 15. I have two companions, and it would seem the easy way out is to just sacrifice one of them (letting him squeeze and later rip to pieces by the Alien in lab 12), but I don't want to.

Is there a scenario where all three of us can make it out of the planet alive?

As far as I'm aware, the answer is unfortunately no.

FYI I would go with the scientist/engineer guy (and sacrifice Umix), since you can get also get Umix via a different path (but you can only get the engineer via this particular path). The third path gives you no companions (but you get something else instead).

And a second FYI: the scientist is an amazing (possibly even OP) crew member. Umix has zero crew skills (though he does open up a unique path down the track, which potentially leads to equally/even more OP things).
