Every time I exit the first game in the series, Windows freezes at a black screen. I have no mouse cursor and ctrl+alt+del does nothing. I have to hit the reset button on my case. The game saves my progress, which is nice, but it would be a lot nicer if I could at least bring up the task manager and end task on the game when this happens. If I pause the game and then hit ctrl+alt+del, the screen goes black, but the music keeps playing and I have to hit the reset button. The fact that the music keeps playing leads me to believe that perhaps Windows doesn't freeze after all. Is there a log I can look at to see what's happening?

EDIT: Running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 8 has fixed this issue.
